Heading on holiday? Don’t pay for data you won’t use

Before the holidays, a lot of people switch to a bigger data plan “just to be safe”. Fair enough — you don’t want to be stuck without a connection on the road. But most of those extra gigs you never touch, and by the end of the month they’ve simply vanished.

It’s become a little summer ritual: bags packed, and a quick upgrade to a heftier bundle because you’ll be navigating, sharing photos and streaming now and then. More gigabytes feels like more peace of mind. Except peace of mind and usage aren’t the same thing. For much of your holiday you’re on the wifi of your hotel, apartment or beach bar — and those extra gigs just sit there.

That’s exactly where UNDO does things differently.

With UNDO, 100% of your bundle works across Europe

What many people don’t realise: within the European Union, your normal bundle works just like at home. You call, text and browse at your home rate — a rule that runs until 2032. For a city trip to Lisbon, a week on the Spanish coast or a road trip through France, that pricey “travel pack” is usually completely unnecessary.
At UNDO it’s even built into your plan: 100% of your bundle is usable in Europe. Your 4 GB, 400 minutes and 400 texts on UNDO Zero Waste — or the larger bundles — work across the EU just like at home, with no surcharges and no small print. Travelling further, or want the details? Check UNDO’s roaming rates.
In other words: the smart move isn’t buying more data — your bundle simply travels with you.

Where holiday costs really add up

The real costs don’t come from “too few gigabytes”, but from a few specific situations:

  • Outside the EU. Travel further and roaming charges do apply, and they climb fast. Switch your mobile data on and off deliberately, or use wifi.
  • Border masts. Near a non-EU border (for example along Switzerland on the way to Italy), your phone sometimes latches onto a mast outside the EU. You then pay roaming without noticing.
  • At sea. On a cruise or ferry, the connection runs via satellite. That’s expensive, even between two EU countries. Turn your data off as soon as you leave the mainland.

So smart trip prep isn’t a bigger plan — it’s setting a usage limit and using wifi where you can.

UNDO Zero Waste: €4, and nothing goes to waste

At UNDO we flip the logic. Instead of selling you as much data as possible, we help you choose what you actually need — and whatever you don’t use stays yours. Unused data, minutes and texts simply roll over to the next month.

With UNDO Zero Waste you get, from €4 a month, 4 GB of data, 400 minutes and 400 texts on Orange’s 5G network. Plenty for anyone who’s mindful with data — and if you do use a bit more, you switch effortlessly to a larger plan. With the UNDO Tracker you also follow your usage in real time, so you never pay for thin air.

Use less, and genuinely give back

Choosing mindfully isn’t just lighter on your wallet. Every UNDO plan plants a real tree: 1 plan = 1 tree, through our reforestation project in Congo. No vague promise — real planting, in a real place.

So this summer: pack your bag, but leave the surplus gigabytes at home. Your data isn’t meant to evaporate.
